Cowboy’s Pride Horse Rescue Foundation (CPHRF) is an IRS approved 501(c)3 organization that strives to better the lives of horses. We currently have facilities located in Luther, Oklahoma, just east of Edmond. We facilitate the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of the horses in our care. We do have some permanent residents, but strive to adopt out as many horses as possible to loving informed homes. We have an open barn door to any horse in need when we are able, but focus on saving as many horses from slaughter as we can. While many people assume that the recent change in laws have ended the ability to lawfully slaughter horses, it HASN’T! There are just as many, sometimes MORE horses being slaughtered today as there were before the change in law. There are THOUSANDS of healthy, sound, well trained horses being sent to slaughter. Money winning race horses, retired ranch horses, and once loved children’s ponies just to name a few. We strive to rescue as many of these perfectly useful horses as we can and place them into family environments where they can continue providing years of fun, companionship and friendship to their new owners while riding down trails, going to playdays, barrel racing as well as many other wonderful adventures! We also hope to pass along knowledge to current or hopefull horse owners about proper horse care in an attempt to prevent horse neglect and abuse from ever occuring.

We need your help! Donations are greatly needed, now more than ever with the rise of horses in need and the oncoming winter. We have set a goal to raise $15,000 (cost of hay alone last winter)! Every dollar adds up - Please help if you can!!!

Please take a look around our site. We have several adoptable horses currently ready and waiting for a family of their own to love and call their own. We also have horses in rehabilitation that are very costly. They are looking for very special people to sponsor them through their recovery.
