Playboy Diamond BarPlayboy Diamond BarPlayboy Diamond Bar

Playboy is a beautiful sorrel gelding with a great mind and great pedigree. He has a wonderful build and sweet temperment. He is 5y/o and stands about 15.1h tall, resembles a race horse’s comformation. He is broke to ride and is quiet. He’s easy to handle. You have to gain his trust which is willing to give after just a few moments, after that, he will do anything to please you. He leads great, loads super easy, just open the door, he stands tied quietly, easy to fly spray, wearing new shoes and current on de-worming. See his pedigree here: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/playboys+diamond+bar
I think he’s an excellent barrel prospect, but has a good enough mind to just be a flashy trail and pleasure horse. He has breeding to be a great roping, cutting or reining horse. He’s really a great prospect for anything.
He does have a scar that I can send pics of - I am not sure what caused it or how he got it, but it is healed and does not seem to affect him at all. He deserves a great home of his own! He is such a sweetheart. I have not ridden him myself yet but will try to by the end of the week. I will update as we learn more about him and how he rides. His ground manners are great though. UPDATE!!! Great news! Playboy has been adopted by a great family in Stillwater!

BlazeBlazeBlaze

“Blaze” - Flashy gaited gelding. He is 5y/o, about 14.3h tall, well built, compact but pretty stocky. He’s gained some weight since he’s been here and is now in great shape. He LOVES people and attention, easy to catch anywhere - if he sees you first, he’ll usually come to you. He is current on de-worming, coggins, and was just trimmed. He had been turned out for a while but he rode off great. We have not had as much time to ride him as we’d like, but he has not offered to do anything wrong and just needs a little time spent on reining. He direct reins easily, stops good and backs nicely. He is smooth to ride and seems very sure footed and has done great riding for us, should be a great trail horse, crosses water, logs, not spooky, etc. He leads and loads great, stands tied, bathes good, stands for fly spray, and is great for the farrier. Adoption Fee is $550

DudleyDudleyDudley\

“Dudley” is a wonderful all around QH gelding. He is cute and well mannered plus he rides great. He neck reins pretty good, will side pass, backs, has a smooth walk, trot and lope. He’s been used to work cattle in the pasture and in a large sale barn, ridden on trails as well as ponied young colts on the trails, been ridden up and down the roads, and in a few playdays and parades. He’s easy to catch, lead, load, bathe, is currently wearing shoes and is good with his feet, likes being brushed and groomed. He is easy to get along with and should work for just about anyone. He’s 11y/o and stands about 14.3h tall with a stout build. Current on hoof care and de-worming. $1000

PocoPocoPoco\

“Poco” is an adorable app gelding that is about 9y/o and stands about 14h tall. He is very unique and we always get comments on his unusual markings. He has been used for trails, riding up and down the roads, in a couple of playdays and parades including the Harrah Daze parade recently and he did great. He’s not spooky and rides very quiet and gentle. He doesn’t neck rein but is easy to handle. He’s easy to catch, lead, bathe, load, great for ferrier and has nice hooves freshly trimmed. He looks great all painted up like an indian horse for parades too! Very cute horse with a great personality. $700.

Bonnie

Bonnie- A 2y/o bay QH type filly, came with Aladdin below. A friend bought them at auction when they were VERY thin and was keeping them here. He has since had some changes in life that he will not be able to provide them a place unless he keeps them here and we just don’t have the room or time they need to further their training. She has gained a lot of weight since being here, but had virtually no training or human contact upon arrival. She is still a little hard to catch, but is gentle and willing to learn. She is broke to lead and ready for further training. (Pic shown was taken almost 2 months after getting them in, while she has made a lot of progress already, she obviously has a ways to go still, but it she is not requiring anything that “special” anymore and just needs a family environment where she can thrive.) Update: About 3 weeks has past since the pic shown was taken, Bonnie looks much better and is really coming along. She has lost all that yucky winter hair and is filling out nicely. She’s a pretty girl!
Update: Bonnie has been adopted and we were lucky enough to keep her with her buddy Aladdin! Thank you Jimmy!

Aladdin

Aladdin - Also a 2y/o who came in with Bonnie. He looks to have a lot of Arab in him, typical Arabian head and refined bone. He is currently about 14h tall, has gained a lot of weight, is healthy, and ready for his new home. He is more friendly than Bonnie, especially if you have a feed bucket or treat. He is broke to lead, is very gentle, and just needs someone to teach him more. (Pic of Aladdin was taken at the same time as Bonnie’s picture, they are still a little thin, but are so much better than upon arrival.) UPDATE: A few weeks have passed since this pic was taken, Aladdin (and Bonnie) are both looking great and coming along quickly. They have shed off and are gaining weight like crazy. I will try to get new pics up soon.
UPDATE: Aladdin has found a home which is great news - the better news is, he and Bonnie got to stay together! Thanks Jimmy!

“Cassy” - Small grey mare, apx. 13.2h tall and 5y/o. She’s up to date on everything. She was recently donated, is in good health, needs a loving home with owners who have some horse experience. She would be a great kids horse with some work. She is broke to ride, lead, load etc. but can be a bit timid around new people. I don’t think it’s anything time and love from a family won’t fix. Hopefully pics will be coming soon. Adopted by a wonderful family! Thanks Again!

“Rio”- 12y/o Draft/Paint mare. Beautiful black & white (mostly black). Stands about 15.3h, stout, and has BIG hooves! Sweet temperment, easy to get along with, easy to catch and work with, broke to ride. She’s absolutely beautiful and has been ridden by all ages. She may need a quick tune up, but she’s a good girl. I can email pics of her but can’t get them on here until our other computer gets fixed. Found her new home! Thanks Again!

Arbekas Princess” - Gorgeous Dapple Grey Reg. mare. Great comformation, color, bloodlines and brains! Look at this pedigree! She’s got greats like Raise Your Glass, Native Dancer, Go Man Go, and Beduino. She’s OTT and has great speed if you ask for it. She rides really quiet, is easy to handle, not spooky, and is fun to ride. She learns fast and is started on barrels. We’ve taken her to 2 playdays and a barrel competition. She acted great at all three and really improves her times nicely. She has a great stride and can make a nice turn. She could really excell at barrels with the right person. We’ve ridden her down the roads bareback in the dark, all through the pastures, and all over during the playdays. She tacks up nicely, is good with her hooves (she’s wearing shoes on the front), leads, ties, loads and has good ground manners. We’ve ridden her in a snaffle and even after running home on barrels, she’ll stop easily. Really nice mare! Adoption Pending!

sierrasierrasierra

9 y/o buckskin (dun) mare. Drop dead gorgeous. She is in excellent shape, great muscle tone. She definitely has not missed a meal. She is 14.3h and rides super gentle. Trail rides, not spooky, easy to catch, tacks up easy, loads great, and is good with her feet. She stands still for mount and dismount. She would look great in parades, a real eye catcher! spiritspiritspirit

Spice GirlSpice GirlSpice Girl

We’ve been using him in our horsemanship classes since November. He gets along with the beginner kids well at a walk and with the kids over 10y/o at a trot or lope. We’ve used him on to work cattle and he was awesome. He’ll cross water, go right through even a pond to get to the other side. We also took him to 2 parades in Dec. - the Norman Christmas parade and the Stockyard Christmas parade. He was great. He’ll also ride bareback or double. He’d be great for anyone in the family. PebblesPebblesPebbles
PebblesPebblesPebbles

“Pebbles” - Older gorgeous leopard app mare. She is VERY broke for any level rider. Still acts young and has get up and go but will ride as quietly as possible unless asked to speed up. She has been a priceless member of our rescue in lessons and has been the best confidence booster to all the children. She’s been ridden by beginners ages 2y/o and up. She’ll ride all tacked up or just in a halter and lead single or double. She crosses water and other trail obsticles without hesitation. She isn’t spooky and has a been there done that attitude. She’s easy to lead, load, tack up, and is great for the ferrier, etc. She loves being groomed and loved on, especially when she gets treats. She really wants a home of her own! NOW LIVING WITH HER FOREVER FAMILY!

“Snore” - older sorrel gelding. Dead broke for any age. Great shape. Stands about 14.3h tall. Very well mannered, you can do anything with him. He’s not spooky, rides very nice. Great for little kids or timid adults. He will build anyone’s confidence. FOUND HIS NEW FOREVER HOME! CONGRATS!

BubbaBubbaBubba

“Bubba” - 5y/o bay gelding. (See more pics on our rescue page) We got Bubba in VERY poor condition, but he’s made a great recovery. He’s SUPER gentle and rides nice. Not at all spooky - we’ve used him in our horsemanship classes, on miles of trails, and in 2 Christmas parades where lesson kids rode him. He rides very quiet, is easy to handle, doesn’t quite neck rein though. He’ll cross water, logs, etc. on trails and doesn’t even spook at 4-wheelers flying right by him. He’d be a great horse for a child or beginner wanting to trail ride on and not have to worry. Great ground manners, is super gentle on the ground, easy to catch, lead, loads great (even in a 2 horse), ties, the kids can tack him up by themeselves, etc. Very sweet boy. He’s started on barrels. He’d be great for children to playday on! FOUND HIS NEW HOME! CONGRATS & ENJOY!

“Pokey” - is a beautiful 8y/o reg. App gelding. Just about anyone can ride! He’s super gentle and rides quiet. We’ve ridden him through the pastures and down the roads, he did great and didn’t spook at all. He’d be a great trail, parade, or kid’s playday horse. He isn’t spooky, will walk along on a trail all day. He’ll ride english, western, or bareback. He’s got show points in English. He carries himself nicely, has a nice trot and beautiful lope. He knows his lead changes and will sidepass. He has great ground manners, leads, loads, ties, and tacks up like a pro. He is easy to handle and will back very easily and forever! Super nice gelding! Sorry no pics, but Pokey found his new home with Lynn & Ross!!!

ZuesZuesZues

“Zues” - is an 11y/o black Tennesee Walker (possibly a QH/TW cross). He’s super cute, stands about 14.1h tall, beautiful tail. He’s not spooky, very friendly, always has to check you out for hidden treats. He’s easy to catch, tack up, is good with his feet, etc. He stands for mount and dismount, neck reins, has a good stop, backs, isn’t spooky and rides out nice. He’s smooth even at a trot. He loves to run and will if you let him, but he’ll also stroll along a nice trail. He was suposed to be ridden on miles & miles of trails and in several parades. He hasn’t shown us any reason to believe he hasn’t done those things. He’s probably not for a child that hasn’t ridden before just because he does like to go, but he’s well broke and easy to handle. He came from a gentleman in his 60s. Found his new home in Cyril, OK! Thanks!

BingoBingoBingo

“Bingo”- is a beautiful 5y/o App gelding. He’s got lots of color and is super flashy. Very nice comformation, soft eye, sweet horse. He’s a little shy of new people on the ground, but we’re working with him and he’s getting better everyday. Once you’re in the saddle though, he rides super! Neck reins, stops, backs, has a nice walk, trot, short lope, and can really move if you ask for it. He may be a little too quick on his feet for a beginner or child, but he’s got a great handle on him. He’s been ridden through pastures, down roads and train tracks, gathered cattle, etc. He’s not spooky while riding, but does flinch if you move too fast on the ground like he thinks you might hit him. He needs a home with a gentle hand to gain his trust. Once you have that, I don’t think you’ll find a better horse. He’d be great for shows, trails, work cattle on, or just to pleasure ride. Fancy horse! Found his new home! Thanks!

HankHankHank

“Hank” is a 4y/o bay gelding. He was taken in by the rescue in January of 2007 and we began training shortly after. He is now a friendly, well mannered boy and rides nicely. He is gentle, neck reins, will give to leg pressure, and is very smart and willing to learn and wants to please. That’s a combination that’s hard to find and any trainer knows the value of a horse that posses these traits. Hank shows an obvious natural ability to be great at working cattle, especially team penning and cutting. He was sold at auction due to the fact he was chasing the baby dairy calves out in the pasture for fun! Hank is easy to work with in every way and is a pleasure to be around and work with. He is a little scared of fly spray still, but after the first few sprays, he finds the courage to stand still. He’s a great horse for pleasure, trail, or could really make a nice working horse for a ranch pr competition. Hank has been adopted and has a new wonderful home! Thanks Again!

Shy-AnnShy-AnnShy-Ann

Shy-ann is a beautiful filly born in May of 2007. She is 1/4 Arabian, 1/4 QH, 1/4 Paso Fino and 1/4 Andalusian. She has already grown as tall as her mother and looks like she will take after her dad (a 16.3h stallion) on size. She is gentle to be around and is broke to lead, groom and will load in a trailer. Adopted by Jennifer & Family! Congrats & Thank you!

RaffleRaffle

“Raffle” as we have been affectionately calling her was raffled off in December of 2007. The winner of the raffle donated her back to the rescue when she won so she is now up for adoptin and looking for a loving home. She is a yearling filly. Looks like she will mature around 15h. She has a nice build and should make a wonderful riding horse when she’s a little older. She’s easy to handle, lead, load and groom. She is good with her feet and will stand tied. She has had a very light person on her back and did quite well with it. She has had some training while she has been here to prepare her for future riding training and is doing well. Adopted by Jennifer & Family! Thank you & Congrats!

SassySassySassy

“Sassy” is a 5y/o paint mare. She was brought to the rescue in August of 2007 in awful condition, the result of a boarding agreement gone bad. After months of rehab and lots of time and tender loving care, she has progressed well and is now looking for a new family to love her. She is broke to ride and is very gentle. We have been using her during our beginner riding classes as well as took her to the Stockyards Christmas parade. Two small girls rode her in the parade and Sassy never took a bad step or spooked at anything. She is a wonderful horse. She has been a trail horse and was used by a teen girl in playdays focusing on barrel racing before she was neglected and brought to the rescue. She’s a great horse and would be a wonderful addition to any family wanting a horse that serves just about any purpose and that the whole family can enjoy. Update: Sassy has found the wonderful home she deserves! We are so happy for her. It was bitter sweet watching her go, we’ve put such love and effort into her while she was here, but it is wonderful that we were able to find her the home she deserves with her new brother Tango!

TangoTangoTango

“Tango” is a beautiful 9y/o black gelding. He is about 14.3h tall and stout! He has a white star and one saddle scar on his right side, but other than that, he’s black. He has a nice conformation, sweet temperment and is a laid back easy going guy. He’d be a wonderful trail horse, I’m sure he’d do great in a parade. He is gentle enough for kids but definately rides for adults. He was suposed to be an ex-rope horse, but he has been a pasture pet for years and would need a tune up if you wanted to rope off him again. He has great ground manners and will catch you if you walk outside. He leads, ties, loads, tacks up, and is good with his feet. If you need a flashy pleasure, trail or parade horse, he may be just what you want! Update: Tango has been adopted by a wonderful family!

AsaAsaAsa

“ASA” - 13Y/O Big bay gelding. Previous owners said he is a finished head horse and would be good for anyone wanting to learn to rope on. He’s a nice pleasure riding horse too. Has go if you want it, will side pass, slide stop, and spins. He’ll throw you back in the saddle if you ask for speed. He’d make a NICE barrel horse and would be easy to train. I took him around the barrels just for fun and he was not only fast but makes a nice natural turn. Seemed like maybe he’d run them before. He’d be a nice addition to anyone’s family who wants a pleasure horse, working horse, playday horse, or multi-purpose horse. ASA HAS FOUND HIS LOVING HOME! THANKS NATE!!
